so in that view believers see him restoring the original monotheistic faith of all the prophets ( of the west asian tradition).. its important to know that muhammad was born in mecca (in arabia) somewhere around 570 ce.

ive been having an email exchange with a jw family member and the discussion seem to have become a bit heated and im not quite sure why.
i dont think ive said anything obviously offensive and ive been very careful with my wording.

Your father's reply was very disappointing after all the effort you had put in to be clear, logical and not provocative. Alas! the witness brain has been specially wired to fight against anything which might deny it the limpet-like grip on the Watchtower delusions. Anything which disagrees with JW thinking is a frontal attack on the only thing which gives them hope in life: their delusional beliefs.
As you pointed out to your father that you are more interested with the information that leads to a conclusion regarding evolution than the concept itself (words to that effect). I'm sure this was lost on him but is a profound reality for those looking for truth. With JWs the conclusions come first as proposed by the GB, and evidence is manufactured according to the requirements of the doctrines.

as far as i can remember watchtower has been notorious for not citing their sources in their literature.
the most they will do is to cite their in house, long living expert by the name of scholar.
after 40 + years all i've ever read is the mantra "one scholar says" ad nauseum.
The idea of peer review is to maintain the highest scholarly standards where individuals in their learned papers are pushing the boundaries of science and knowledge. It is a device to ensure thoroughness and integrity.
Such care would be wasted on the crude indoctrination and mental garbage that spews of the Watchtower org...
The entire Watchtower message assumption based on assumption with a lot of guesswork and holiness woven into it. To compare what the JW org says with scholarly research would be a farce.
